Baby Boomers retiring? Nursing Staffing issues!

With all the reports of skilled labor shortage due to the retirement of baby boomers, is your organization prepared for the short fall and what contingency plans can you put in place to stem this tide?

According to SHRM, retirees are reinventing themselves and serving as a powerful and valuable resource for companies and organizations. Don't loose all the human capital you spent so much time and money nurturing. Utilize older workers to transfer skills and knowledge before they retire. And after they retire, draw on their expertise and talents.

How?

By using e-learning to easily create and manage this knowledge transfer. You need a system that can allow those with the skills, knowledge and talents to transfer or document their skills so you can easily share with the younger generations. Using a learning management system might help in this case.

Secondly tap retirees to serve in advisory capacities across your company. They bring a lot to the table.

Lastly keep communication channels open (especially electronic communications via emails, discussion boards, blogs and wikis).

There's an old African saying "the old are wise for a reason". Leverage that knowledge before its too late.

ELearning and Health Enterprises

Keeping track of state and federal regulations and statutes can be daunting. How about continuing education for nurses? How many times have county or regional hospitals been without adequate e-learning and training resources for their staff?

One solution to this issue can be using e-learning for nursing certification training.

The major consideration for using e-learning or web-based training to create, deploy and manage staff training and compliance education is cost and implementation complexity.

How much are you ready to spend for a good learning management system? How about how easy it is to implement your learning management system so you can start training your nurses or staff? Do you need an army of IT professionals or can your learning management system be a simple plug 'n play system that is easy to set up and implement?

Do you have existing courses created for nursing continuing education? Or would you rather purchase nursing courses from your e-learning software provider?

We recommend a single comprehensive learning management system for training. If your training software provider has courses you can purchase, great! But it is important that the elearning system you choose be secure, scalable, robust and easy to implement.

Family Law? What is Family Law?

Family Law? What is Family Law?

The area of law, which deals with separation, divorce, child custody, and division of marital assets, as well as adoption. Family law is an area of the law that deals with family-related issues and domestic relations including, but not limited to marriage, civil unions, divorce, spousal abuse, child custody and visitation, property, alimony, and child support awards, as well as child abuse issues, and adoption. This list is by no means dispositive of the potential issues that come through the family court system. In many jurisdictions in the United States, the family courts see the most crowded dockets. Litigants representative of all social and economic classes are parties within the system. Because the family courts are notoriously underfunded and see a relatively large proportion of economically dependent litigants, a common criticism levied is that the system inherently prejudices the needs of these disadvantaged parties. ..[family law resources]
